The dyieng house in Serignan
Pierre de Loye was founded in 1770 in the south of France, by
Pierre Alexis de Loye. Until the 1920's, the main activity consisted
of spinning and throwing the naturel silk. Due to gradual use
of chemical fibers replacing natural silk, Mr Pierre de Loye,
a descendant of the company founder, built in 1926 a spinning
mill in the city of Orange. The new mill exploited the new and
developing spinning and dyeing technologies. Since this time,
the company has continuously expanded, producing and selling knitting
yarns made of the most noble raw material such as angora, alpaga,
mohair, silk or pure wool. Nowadays, Pierre de Loye is considered
in many countries as the leader in the high quality knitting yarns
market.
